Overview

LegacyNest LLC respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, request information, book a consultation, or communicate with us.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, consultation details, questions, and any other information you submit through forms, email, phone, text message, or scheduling tools.

When you request an education session, we store the information submitted in the booking form, including your phone number, preferred date and time, U.S. or Canadian region, employment category, financial priority, and optional topic.

If you create a member account, we collect your name, email address, a securely hashed version of your password, account creation date, and most recent login date. We do not store your password in readable form.

We use time-limited security tokens to verify member email addresses. The verification token is stored in hashed form and removed after successful activation.

If you request a password reset, we store a hashed, single-use reset token with an expiration time. The token cannot be used to discover your password and is invalidated after the reset is completed.

Within the member education center, we record the lessons you open, approximate active learning time, visit count, last activity date, and whether you choose to mark a lesson complete. Timing pauses when the lesson tab is hidden or when no recent activity is detected. Workbook answers and reflection fields are not transmitted or saved.

If you choose to receive optional educational updates, event announcements, or personalized educational recommendations, we store those preferences. For consented campaigns, we may also record first-party campaign codes, visits, and resulting lesson completions.

We may also automatically collect limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages viewed, dates and times of visits, and general website usage information through cookies, analytics tools, server logs, or similar technologies.

How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and consultation requests.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments.
  • Provide educational resources and customer support.
  • Improve website performance, content, and user experience.
  • Send administrative, service-related, or permitted marketing communications.
  • Protect our website, users, business, and legal rights.
  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, or recordkeeping obligations.

Member account information is also used to authenticate you and provide access to protected educational resources.

Member learning activity is used to save progress, provide a continue-learning experience, understand which lessons are useful, improve the education program, and, only when the applicable preference is enabled, personalize educational recommendations or measure LegacyNest campaign effectiveness.

Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, or similar technologies to understand website traffic and improve the website. You can usually adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies, but some website features may not function properly.

The authenticated education center uses first-party session cookies and first-party database records for lesson progress and campaign attribution. LegacyNest does not send member lesson history or financial-interest topics to third-party advertising platforms.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the website and business, such as scheduling platforms, email providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, customer relationship tools, professional advisors, and legal or compliance vendors.

We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, government request, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, sale, reorganization, or asset transfer.

Financial Privacy Notice

If LegacyNest LLC becomes subject to specific financial privacy laws for a particular product or service, additional privacy notices may apply. In the event of a conflict between this website Privacy Policy and a legally required financial privacy notice, the more specific notice will control for that product or service.

Your Privacy Choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or limitation of personal information by contacting us through the contact method provided on this website. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may be retained where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, recordkeeping, or legitimate business purposes.

Members can change optional communication and personalization preferences from the Member Education Center. Turning off a preference does not affect account access, security messages, or saved lesson progress.

California Privacy Rights

California residents may have additional rights under California privacy laws, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information, subject to legal exceptions. We do not knowingly sell personal information as the term "sell" is commonly understood, and we do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless disclosed through an applicable cookie or consent tool.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain records, and enforce agreements.

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
